The Rhythm of the tropics is calling. The island of Puerto Rico is full of life and celebration. Throughout the year you can experience the culture and zest for life that can only be found in Puerto Rico during the many festivals and celebrations.

• Patron Saints Festival - January to March
  Each town honors their own patron saint with colorful displays, food, dance, and other festivities.
   
• San Sebastian Festival - January
  Reminiscent of New Orleans’s own Mardi Gras or South America’s Carnival, San Sebastian Festival is a celebration that fills the colorful streets of Old San Juan. Parades and parties elevate the vibrant energy of this tropical destination.
   
• Festival de Teatro Luis Torres Nadal - February
  In honor of Luis Torres Nadal, Teatro La Perla in Ponce holds an annual theater festival featuring productions by local theater companies and musicians.
   
• Ponce Crafts Fair - March
  A festival of dance, music, food, and exhibits by artisans to celebrate Puerto Rico’s local artists and craftsmen.
   
• Puerto Rico Jazz Festival - March / April
  Latin American jazz music at its best is celebrated in early Spring each year.
   
• Soborea Food Festival & SoFo Food Fest - April
  World-famous Escambron Beach takes center stage in a flavorful weekend. Over 60 dishes from the island’s best restaurants are featured alongside Puerto Rico’s finest culinary professionals and rum, beer, and wine distilleries.
   
• Semana de la Danza - May
  Ponce celebrates historical-cultural events commemorating the danza, a popular turn-of-the-century ballroom dance. The festivities (held in Teatro La Perla) includes conferences, danza concerts by string quartets, a parade, a danza competition and demonstrations by senior couples who danced danza in their youth, in period dress.
   
• La Noche de San Juan - June
  On June 24th the island of Puerto Rico celebrates the birthday of St. John the Baptist (the namesake of San Juan). At midnight, it is traditional in Puerto Rico to jump backward into the ocean a few times for good luck.
   
• Puerto Rico Salsa Congress - June
  Held in San Juan each year, Latin America’s and the Caribbean’s top salsa dancers gather to compete and celebrate.
   
• San Juan International Billfish Tournament - March
  An impressive fishing tournament during the peak week of deep sea fishing season in the middle of a tropical paradise.
   
• Las Mañanitas - March
  Ponce celebrates every year a religious procession in honor of Ponce's and Mexico's patron saint, Our Lady of Guadalupe. The first song sung by the troubadours is the traditional Mexican birthday song "Las Mañanitas."
